Pet Sitting
In your home
Time spent in your house with your pets, so their routine, their bed and their smells all stay exactly the same. Overnight stays available.

Meet Julie
Why I started The Pet Nanny
I started The Pet Nanny because I know how difficult it can be to leave your pets when you go away. I wanted to create a service where people could feel completely comfortable knowing their pets are staying in their own home, with someone they can trust.
I’ve always loved animals and genuinely enjoy spending time with them, so The Pet Nanny was the perfect way to turn that into something I’m passionate about.

Which animals do you look after?
All breeds and personalities are welcome. As well as dogs and cats, Julie has looked after horses and chickens for customers while they were away.
Are you insured and DBS checked?
Yes, both. The Pet Nanny is fully insured and DBS checked, so you know exactly who is coming into your home.
Do you meet my pets before I book?
Yes. A free meet and greet is offered before your first booking, so Julie can meet you and your pets, talk through their routine and make sure everyone is comfortable before care begins.
What happens during a visit?
Every service includes feeding and fresh water, toilet breaks, playtime and cuddles, medication if it is needed, and regular photo and video updates sent to you.
Will I hear from you while I am away?
Yes. You get regular photos and videos so you can see how your pets are getting on, and Julie stays in touch throughout your trip.
What does it cost?
Walks start at £12 for 30 minutes, home visits start at £10 for a 15 minute drop-in, and overnight stays are £40. Extra dogs from the same household are £10 more. Full prices are listed above.
What if my pet becomes unwell?
Julie will contact you or your emergency contact as soon as possible, and if your pet needs urgent treatment she will get them seen by a vet. Vet fees are paid by the owner, so please share your usual vet's details before the booking starts.
Are my house keys safe with you?
Yes. Keys are kept securely and are never labelled with your address.
Which areas do you cover?
The Pet Nanny is based in Eaglescliffe, Yarm, on Teesside, and covers the North East and North Yorkshire. If you are not sure whether you are in reach, just ask and Julie will let you know.
How do I book?
Send an enquiry using the form below, call or text 07939 413998, or message on WhatsApp. Your booking is confirmed once payment or a deposit has been received.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or change a booking, please give as much notice as possible. Deposits and payments may not be refundable for short-notice cancellations, as the dates were kept free for your pets. Any refunds are looked at case by case.
